Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use Net Margin Lab. The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, nothing you type into them is transmitted to us, and the only third-party data processing on this site relates to advertising.

1. Calculator inputs

Every calculator on this site is a self-contained script running in your browser. Prices, costs, rates and any other figures you enter are processed locally and are never sent to our servers, stored in a database, or associated with you. Reloading the page clears them.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not operate user accounts, do not require an email address to use the site, do not run newsletter signups, and do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

3. Server logs

Like almost all websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical information for each request — IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp — for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.

4. Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by third-party advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure performance. These cookies are set by the advertising network, not by us, and we do not have access to the data they contain.

If Google AdSense is used on this site, Google and its partners may use the DoubleClick cookie or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or manage third-party advertising cookies through the opt-out tools offered by your regional advertising industry body. Blocking these cookies does not affect the calculators, which work without them.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. Where analytics are used, the data is aggregated, and no attempt is made to identify individual visitors.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not collect personal data through the calculators and do not maintain user accounts, there is usually nothing for us to act on. Requests relating to advertising cookies should be directed to the advertising network that set them.

7. Children

This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. External links

We link to external resources such as marketplace help pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites, and we recommend reading their policies before providing information to them.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revision date at the top of the page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
